Oso Creek Water Level Monitoring

In an effort to better understand the long and short-term dynamics of the Oso creek tributary, the City of Corpus Christi Water Department and the Conrad Blucher Institute began monitoring the water level in Oso Creek in June 2013. Three water level monitoring stations are located throughout the city of Corpus Christi at Saratoga Blvd. near Greenwood, Farm to Market 43 near Pontchartrain Dr., and at Farm to Market 2444 near Oso Pkwy. Rainfall data are also monitored at each site to be used to better understand the effects extreme weather conditions such as drought and flood have on the water level in the creek. Other parameters monitored are air temperature, relative humidity, and barometric pressure.
